 Financial Contributions
Money that is donated
helps us cover our monthly expenses. Also, you can contribute to support specific items
such as school supplies, toys, medicines or special projects.
Child Sponsorships
EL REFUGIO also offers
you the chance to become a godparent for one of our children. Sponsorship money goes to
our general expenses account, not to your individual child and each each child may have
several godparents. Being a godparent makes you someone very special in your kid’s
life and gives you a chance to know firsthand about his or her progress. The children
enjoy writing and  receiving letters and pictures. And one of the
greatest moments is a godparent visiting his child here in Honduras.
A Child Sponsorship costs 20 Dollars a month or 360 Dollars per year and makes a great
gift, too.
Being A Volunteer
EL REFUGIO Children´s
Home employs volunteers to work in specific areas. We always look for teachers, nurses and
handymen with basic Spanish skills who can come to Honduras for at least six months.
